Abilene is a poetic name analogous of our ambition to create a home environment for individuals to prosper. It is the name of an ancient valley surrounded by vast deserts. The valley was not only a place of refuge but also a place that sustained a thriving civilization.

Carver Simkins Founder of Abilene Design Build
Carver grew up in a hard-working farming community where he gained an appreciation for an honest days labor. His parents placed a strong emphasis on education inspiring him to prioritize learning over leisure. He has a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree in Architecture from Virginia Tech, an internationally recognized university for it's architecture program.
His professional experience consists of time spent at an architecture firm and working as an independent contractor for several home remodeling companies and custom home builders; engaging as an architectural designer, project manager and estimator for dozens of projects.
In March of 2025 Carver Founded Abilene Design Build.
His vision for what the company will accomplish would take more than a couple paragraphs to cover, but his purpose is to build quality relationships within the community and provide unparalleled residential design and construction services throughout the greater Louisville Region.
